Account information: When you create an account, we collect your email address, display name, and authentication information (including data from sign-in providers if you use single sign-on).
Payment information: Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store full credit card numbers. We receive limited information from Stripe such as the last 4 digits of your card, billing country, and transaction IDs for accounting and support purposes.
Usage data: We collect information about how you interact with the Service, including prompts, model selections, generation settings, credits consumed, timestamps, IP address, browser type, and device information.
Generated content: We store the Inputs you submit and the Outputs the Service generates for you, including generated videos and images, to make them available to you in your library and for customer support purposes.
Cookies and similar technologies: We use cookies and local storage for authentication, session management, and essential site functions. We do not use advertising cookies.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, operate, and maintain the Service;
- To process payments and manage your credit balance;
- To deliver Inputs to third-party AI model providers to fulfill your generation requests;
- To communicate with you about your account, transactions, and service updates;
- To monitor for fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service;
- To improve the Service and develop new features;
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. How We Share Your Information
AI model providers: When you submit a generation request, we send your prompt and relevant inputs to the selected third-party AI model provider. These providers have their own privacy policies governing how they handle your data.
Payment processor: We share payment information with Stripe to process transactions.
Infrastructure providers: We use cloud hosting, storage, and database services (including Google Cloud Platform) to operate the Service. These providers process data on our behalf under data processing agreements.
Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. AI Training
Katana AI Studio does not develop or train its own AI models. Your generation requests are forwarded to third-party AI model providers who perform the actual inference. Each provider has its own data-usage and training policies, which may vary. Where providers offer options, we select configurations that minimize use of customer data for model training.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data and generated content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal, financial, or fraud-prevention purposes (typically up to 7 years for payment records).
6. Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), encryption at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. No system is perfectly secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you;
- Correct inaccurate information;
- Delete your information (subject to legal retention requirements);
- Export your data in a portable format;
- Object to or restrict certain processing;
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
